a little over 60 years ago, the Postal Service, (then a competent service) rolled out the Zip Code programs to speed mail to its designation. Works well.
But in 2024, if something similar was unveiled, would it be attacked as RACIST...you know, like "yeah, dem numbahs designated black/brown areas.... yeah"
