Hey I saw you made a post years ago about a hunting club. Is there anything in St. Mary's county that is looking for new members that you are aware of? I grew up in Kent Co. but just retired out of the Navy and staying here in St. Mary's.

Our little club up in 7th District is pretty full...barely accommodate current member requests for hunting days. Most of the guys I know that hunt deer are on public (St. Mary's Lake park, for example) or private property, and the big waterfowl hunting farms and clubs are pretty much all on the eastern shore as far as I know.

Well, we have a Elks Lodge and a Moose Lodge. Now we need a Deer Lodge. (lol) After all, I haven't seen too many Elk or Moose in St. Mary's County. Have you? I hope no one shoots the Reindeer on the 25th. Particularly the one with the red nose.

I forgot to update you. Dawn Gehrig's husband passed away a couple of weeks ago. I understand she left the Range a while back for a big promotion somewhere else on base so nobody from the Range seems to know to much about what happened.

I understand he did have cancer a while back and had been at John Hopkins back in December. Randy said he thinks he developed sepsis sometime in January. I haven't seen anything listed at either funeral home on him though.

Dawn did post up that they were going to have a celebration of his life some time in March.

Got her all weathered in yesterday. Metal roof on, door installed. Tomorrow is finish boxing in rafter tails and put wire all around the bottom (porcupines and skunks live here!).

I used Scope restoration to replace my singles. They put 50 year shingles on it, worked through my insurance and waived my deductible. Did a great job. Roof was 20 years old and still good but the shingles they told me were recalled and not made anymore. Great experience.

Even more sad news. Audry Burnette (Angie Aud's mother) has passed away. I know you remember her. She worked the reception desk for several years with Lucy and was replaced by Vi when she retired. Super sweet lady.
