Just sneakin' around....
Whatever meat I'm making, I often do roast potatoes with it.

1 potato for each person, 1 for the pan, slice into sticks (no need to peel). Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Onto a rimmed cookie sheet, 425° for 25 minutes, stir, back in the oven for 15-20 minutes until how you like them done.

Chopped onion after the first 25 mins if you like, sometimes I add Old Bay or garlic powder.

I get Five Guys fries, fry them up in a pan with Crisco.

my wife buys

Pork Country Style Ribs Boneless

chops them up into bite sized pieces seasons and frys them up
I used to put a ton of country ribs in the crockpot on Sunday, then make stuff out of it during the week. Over noodles, burritos, in a casserole, make a quick stew.... They used to be super cheap and a meat staple in my household. Heck, I should do that now.

Thanks for the reminder!

Isnt it funny how things we loved as a kid just arent the same now?

SpaghettiOs. :dead:

I used to love SpaghettiOs with meatballs when I was a kid. Tried to buy it for my kids and they were grossed out. Tastes like afterbarf. My daughter pointed out that I spoiled them with cooking; my mom didn't cook so canned spaghetti, chow mein, and frozen chicken a la king were what I ate as a child. But my aunties and grandmother were great cooks, so I did get real food sometimes.

I could never even try to like Spaghetti O's. :barf:

Those look like the ones my mom used to make, damn they were great! Sunday was steak day she would make them every time and then broil the steaks. No grilling back then.

All of the ChefBoyArdee products are barf inducing.
Mom used to make Kraft Mac n Cheese for sis and open a can of chili for me. I still cannot even stand the smell of MnC and I'm not sure I would even be able to eat canned chili anymore.

Honestly, as long as I have tater tots, I have a meal. Cooked crispy tots topped with eggs or some kind of ground/pulled meat, sprinkle with cheese, pop in the microwave to melt the cheese - BOOM.
