For home use it doesn't need to be active. Keep in mind the CTs suspension is active and there is an entry mode where ride height is eight inches. So a fixed three inch platform works. For home anyway. For supercharging I think you still want a cable.

Interesting, about a year ago i read an article from some envirowacko how wireless cell phone charging was killing the planet due to using more energy than an old fashioned cord charger.

Considering the outcry from magnetic fields from overhead powerlines causing all kinds of medical issues, I'm surprised at how little I've read on huge and close proximity magnetic fields from wireless charges big enough to charge a car.

Its evidently two different kinds. More than that, someone else would have to explain. Me, I'll be fine plugging in. My wife, she'll be fine with me plugging in. :)

Given the cost of the Cybertent or whatever its called, I wouldn't be surprised. Except I think history will be kinder to the CT than it has been to the Aztek. But I could be wrong. Its not off to a great start, so they need to get it better faster and cheaper. And fix whatever the heck is wrong with the "gas pedal"

I think people fondly remember the Aztek as ugly as hell but kind of cool, Breaking Bad didn't hurt.

Reminded me a lot of the Eagle.

Keyword "foolish oversight". Dont be an idiot, and you wont have a problem. And I know, the world is full of idiots. That's too bad for them, life is hard, harder when you are stupid.

Not sure why he used a chargin app instead of the built in functionality. Could have saved him a lot of stress. As it is designed to do.

Anyway. Below is one reason I dont worry about a lot of the negative press.

1. OMG, the CTs frunk can shear a carrot!!!!!!! Now after a simple OTA update, it wont even dent a banana



2. OMG, open diffs means the CT is doomed to mall crawling!!!!! Now, after an OTA, locking diffs both ends and other functionality unlocked.




I did get my invite to buy a Foundation Series, buts thats still too rich for my blood. Plus I suspect in less than a year, we will see range and charge time improvements.

Looks like it can still trap a finger.


I work with someone with a model 3 and he uses a third party app, apparently he uses electrify america chargers a lot.

Here’s a good video on towing capabilities and how far the cybertruck can tow a 28’ camper on a full charge compared to a Ram truck with a Cummins. Bottom line - less than 100 miles AND it costs $10 more in energy for the 85 miles it did go compared to the Ram.

No, it doesn't. But here's the thing. If he was close enough that a tire sticking out 2 to 3 in from the body hit that other car, the sensors would have already been freaking out for a long time, right? Even set to minimum sensitivity none of the vehicles I have with sensors lett anything get closer than a foot or they start bugging out. And within 6 in they're already freaking out to the max. So if you get down to 2 to 3 in from another vehicle the sensors don't make a difference.

Yep. but of course we know that EV trucks dont tow like gas trucks. You choose according to your needs. I will make a few points though.

1. Trailer sway mitigation. I suspect that this will get updated once the fleet returns more towing data. Just like they received an update that enabled more movement of the rear tires allowing tighter turns literally while they were charging. Other recent updates have enabled the front and rear lockers, so as with any Tesla, new features or updates to old ones roll out even years after you buy it.
2. Matching against a 2500 diesel thats barely breaking a sweat at 8k in tow not really apples to apples.
3. Of course 70mph takes you out of the efficiency range. But that is fair because those are the speeds out there.
