Cracker Barrel is good for breakfast if you just want standard breakfast fare and nothing fancy.

St. Mary's Co. Auto Mechanic Recommendations Near PAX

I'll second Cheseldine. I've lived here 25 years and tried most places and Cheseldine is by far my favorite. I've been going just there for the last 15 years.

New Businesses Coming to Southern Maryland

I order on line and it's waiting for me on the rack. Firehouse and Jimmy John's are great for that.

    Lunch for Two (?)

Jerry's Bistro has a wide selection. My favorites are cheese steak sub, meatball sub, eggrolls, steamed dumplings, and fried wings.

    Shoppers

Strange seeing the Shoppers sign again. To quote Yogi Berra: "It's like déjà vu all over again."

Cracker Barrell not what it used to be

When they first opened, they were horrible. After a few years they got better. They downgraded "Fish Fry Friday" from Haddock to Cod, that sucked. But for the price it isn't bad. If you want sticker shock, check out the on line menus for Red Robin and Olive Garden.

Heads up if you get your cable tv through Breezeline

HA! I cut the cord 5 years ago and cut my bill in half with some basic streaming services. If you have an Amazon subscription, you have one already. Look for "free TV", like Pluto TV, that you can load as an app on a smart TV.

I was in Waldorf over the weekend... and....

I had to get a rental suit from Men's Wearhouse and went to Waldorf. I've lived in SOMD for 25 years and realized that was my first time in Waldorf in 15 years. I just take the bypass between 5/301 and never go into town.

    Slim Chickens

Jerry's, next to the old bowling alley, has great fried wings. It's the entire wing too.

I just checked, Outback has it but it's $15.99! I haven't been to Outback since Texas Roadhouse opened.

    Pan Seared Tuna in SOMD?

I've tried, but you have to find a good quality tuna steak, and have the wasabi and pickled ginger. It ends up costing about as much as getting it out. Elements made it easy. Blue Wind was better in the old days, but the owner sold it to open Elements and has since retired.

    Pan Seared Tuna in SOMD?

The new Capt Pat's has great seafood sandwiches. The lunch specials are a great deal, including the crab cakes. I love the Rockfish sandwich at Grid Iron Grill.
