On weekends, it's horrible on those back roads dealing with the bicyclists. Lots of curves, no shoulders, guard rails within a few feet of the road. I have no issues with bikers but some think they own the road and getting past them can be a real pain sometimes. I wouldn't ride most of those back roads if I was a bicyclist. I've crested some of the small hills (doing the speed limit) only to find 2 or 3 bikers stopped in the middle of the road talking.
I'm surprised there aren't a large number of them run over, weekly, considering the routes they choose.

Agree, I keep waiting for it to happen, really surprised it hasn't happened a number of times, lots of wanna-be Grand Prix drivers tearing up those roads.

This is especially true of those who play up the hard-core biker part with the top of the line expensive bike gear and skin-tight spandex. They push the limit of 'right of way', and can be very obnoxious. If they were being d*ckholes and preventing the truck from passing, can't blame the guy for getting short. But we'll never hear the real story.

If they want to hold these fund-raising events, why not use the bike trails? I thought thats why the county put them in. A whole lot safer since there is no automobile traffic allowed.
When reading comments on the socials about the Amish wreck yesterday, a woman flat out said that horse and buggies should not be allowed on the roads. THEY should find alternative ways to travel.

My thoughts on this are that the truck driver was speeding and not paying attention. Perhaps a medical incident?

Some people should learn how to drive. I dont have a problem with the Amish buggies, for the most part, they stay on the shoulder and out of the roadway unless unavoidable.
